Linea Spindle is a linear multi spindle
with opposed vertical spindles
Only a 15 minute set-up time!
Compared to traditional bar stock fed multi spindles, this 4-spindle CNC machine guarantees higher precision, versatility, production flexibility and waste reduction. The particular strength of Linea Spindle is the reduction of the set-up time to just 15 minutes. This is possible due to the architecture and organization of the multi spindle itself, which is divided into two totally independent work areas. This allows you not only to replace a tool, but also to fully retool the machine without stopping the production cycle. Machine downtimes are thus kept to an absolute minimum, leading to important savings in the production process.
Linea Spindle is a CNC machine that is ideal for sectors needing the production of extremely large families of pieces, such as for hydraulics, oil hydraulics, automotive, fittings, and so on.
I make big batches I don’t care about set-up time!
Since I have heard this over and over again, I felt the need to do an article on my blog to clarify, or rather to propose, a different point of view of the situation.
Starting from the assumption that producing large batches is not a problem, I would like to point out that in my life of decades of manufacturing turning machines, I have seen several situations that prompted me to study and realise the Linea Spindle multi-spindle CNC lathe.
Aggregate cycle time: why does nobody consider it?
If you are in the industry, you are more likely to refer only to cycle time.
Let’s step back a little and take the basic definition of cycle time referring to bar machining.
“The time in which the bar of material enters the machine until the finished part is ejected”.
Which in itself is the correct definition but, in the cycle time, you should also calculate the retooling time of the multi spindle CNC lathe when changing the workpiece.
How much does set-up time cost?
Working days are very often characterised by a succession of commitments. The era of Amazon, smartphones and the net evolving at a relentless pace has led the end buyer of a product to want it more and more quickly. It may seem to you that this text has nothing to do with this company, but in fact it does.
Bar turning: the it’s always been done this way cliché
I’m tired of “that’s the way it’s always been done!”
I have never thought of myself as an innovator, only as a deep connoisseur of my work. This has led me, almost unbeknownst to me, to be known all over the world for my turning machines.
Throughout all this time, I have “clashed” with ideologies based solely on this phrase: “That’s the way it’s always been done…”.

Multi Spindle CNC lathe for lead-free materials
One of the issues facing the manufacturing world is the handling and use of lead-free materials.
New European regulations are in fact moving in this direction, which the United States and Canada had already taken in the early 1980s.
Companies producing items such as taps, fittings and connectors – or more generally products that come into contact with water for human consumption, for example – will be obliged to use lead-free materials.
